Postmedia closes Another Newspaper Plant

 Postmedia is closing it's Melford Saskatchewan plant and moving production to Saskatoon. The plant printed newspapers for the Melford Journal, Nipawin Journal and Northeast Sun. 15 full-and Part-time works  will loose their jobs. Were the presses are going has not been indicated. Transcontinental the other large newspaper printer has sold off all but 5 of it's newspapers.

More Postmedia Plants expected to close
Postmedia has had declining revenue for years and is heavily in debt. They have tried to cut back expenses but have continued losses. They are still one of the largest newspaper companies in Canada. They had taken over the Sun chain of newspaper across Canada. Questions have been raised on how long they can survive.
